Parents who are looking for smaller class sizes, personal attention, and co-curricular and extra-curricular options in athletics, the arts, and academics, as well as a well-rounded, college preparatory liberal arts education, for their students in grades 6 through 12 can explore all the benefits MMI Preparatory School offers during Visitation Night on Wednesday, November 13. The event begins at 6 p.m. on MMI’s campus at 154 Centre Street in Freeland.

During Visitation Night, families will learn more about how an MMI education maximizes a student’s academic, social, and character potential in preparation for success in college and beyond. As parents and students tour the campus, they will discover how MMI sets itself apart from other schools with a strong curriculum that provides an integrated liberal arts program.

The event will begin with a presentation by the school’s administration, where families will see how MMI gives students a chance to grow and thrive through coursework that ensures a rigorous challenge along with many opportunities for success. Parents and students will receive details about the school’s curriculum, including fine arts, cross-curricular opportunities, and Advanced Placement classes, as well as information on financial aid, athletics, and extracurricular activities. Attendees will also have the opportunity to talk with current students, parents, faculty, and staff.

“An MMI education leads students to discover their passion for learning thorough an interdisciplinary liberal arts curriculum. Your child will thrive in a supportive student-centered environment, focused on character development and 21st century citizenship which allows every student to maximize their potential,” MMI Head of School Justin Kleinheider said. “We invite you to visit MMI and see how we can help your student chart a path to lifelong learning.”

Families of students entering sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grades next year are especially encouraged to attend Visitation Night and consider starting their child in MMI’s middle school or as a freshman.

MMI operates on the principle that a quality education should not be out of anyone’s financial reach. Currently, more than 50 percent of MMI students receive some form of need-based tuition assistance. The school offers generous tuition assistance packages to qualified families, provides merit aid for exceptionally gifted students, offers a summer work-study program, provides options for payment plans, and collaborates with outside firms to arrange for low-interest student loans.

Those planning to attend Visitation Night are asked to register and should arrive by 5:45 p.m. the night of the event. For more information or to register, contact Marci Hosier at mhosier@mmiprep.org or (570) 636-1108. You can also visit MMI’s website at www.mmiprep.org.
