Scranton High School Aquatics Program to Host the Leslie Richards Swimming and Diving Championships

 

SCRANTON, PA (January 20, 2016)—The Scranton High School swim program will host the Leslie Richards Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday, February 12, 2016, and Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the Scranton High School Aquatics Center. This event is open to the public. Admission to this event is: $5 for adults, $2 for students, and free admission for children under age 12.

 

The competitions are scheduled as follows:

 

  • Diving Competition, Friday, February 12, 2016:
  • Warm-up, 4 p.m.
  • Competition, 5:30 p.m.

 

  • Swimming Competition, Saturday, February 13, 2016:
  • Warm-up, 8 a.m.
  • Preliminaries, 10 a.m.
  • Warm-up for Finals, 5 p.m.
  • Finals Competition, 6 p.m.

 

The Leslie Richards Swimming and Diving Championships event is designed to give swimmers the opportunity to swim and dive in a championship-type competition prior to District Championships. Divers are offered an eleven-dive format, and swimmers can use the meet as an opportunity to make District qualifying times, to better District qualifying times, or to compete in events outside of their District events.
